These issues require special attention; otherwise, they could add additional cost for the patient.<\/p>\n<p>The examples of such cases are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The patient has a terminated insurance<\/li>\n<li>Illegible or outdated information on the insurance card<\/li>\n<li>Patient\u2019s insurance covers them only in a specific state<\/li>\n<li>Patient\u2019s insurance card allows services from certain pharmacies<\/li>\n<li>Prescription is not covered by the patient\u2019s healthcare plan<\/li>\n<li>The prescription requires prior authorization<\/li>\n<li>Prescription exceeds the allowable limit of medicine quantity (by either law or the insurance)<\/li>\n<li>Insurance doesn\u2019t cater to the prescription as deeming it inappropriate for the patient or prefers a different version of the medicine<\/li>\n<li>Insurance won\u2019t pay for the specific brand but the patient insists on it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Pharmacy-Related Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It is possible that refilling takes delays because of some issues or mishaps that happened at the pharmacy end.
